The Stillwater County Board of County Commissioners is accepting applications from the Stillwater County residents willing to serve on the Historic Preservation Commission. There are three (3) positions available for three (3) year terms. The Stillwater County Commissioners will appoint two (2) Stillwater County resident Commission members and appoint one (1) Stillwater County free holder Commission member at large. The historic preservation commission will meet quarterly or four (4) times per year. The objective of this Columbus/Stillwater County Historic Preservation Commission is to promote the preservation of historic and prehistoric sites, structures, objects, buildings and districts by addressing historic preservation issues at the local level and integrating them into local planning, and state and federal decision-making processes.
